Location/Type: UK Remote

Status: Non-Exempt

Shift: 10 AM - 7 PM London Time (GMT +!)

We are seeking an individual with experience in AWS to join our Service team. The goal of this team is to design, implement, and support public cloud solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a mixture of traditional services such as: virtual machines, serverless, or Platform As A Service products to deliver custom solutions to business problems

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and stakeholders on AWS-related matters

  • Research and development of new solutions, implementation of established solutions according to best practices/documentation, create documentation of the solutions, and provide second-line support for these solutions

  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability in AWS environments

  • Utilize experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to automate the software delivery process

  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security controls.

  • Stay current with AWS services and industry best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance

  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.

  • Strong proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code (IaC) automation

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus

  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK stack

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset to remediate issues across teams and clients

  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure in production environments using best practices, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security

  • Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and management tools like Terraform Enterprise, AWS Systems Manager, or HashiCorp Vault

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnetting, routing, and security groups

  • Experience with AWS Organizations, IAM Identity Center and Control Tower managing multiple accounts under single organization.

  • Experience with EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM for high availability, security, and performance

  • Experience with automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuring, and monitoring of AWS resources

  • 2+ years of experience at a Managed Services Provider

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active certifications in AWS. Preferably at least Associate level (i.e. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator)

  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform

  • 2+ years of AWS experience (preferably at a Managed Services Provider)

  • Experience implementing networks and connectivity, specifically connectivity between physical and cloud networks (VPNs, etc.)

  • Drive, willingness to learn, and taking responsibility for one's own work and the overall outcome

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to different audiences

  • Experience working with clients in the finance or alternative investment industries
