Kemin Industries Marketing Manager - Singapore, Kemin Food Technologies in Singapore, Singapore

Overview

This is a strategic role in growing the Kemin Food Technologies business across Asia Pacific. The Marketing Manager is jointly accountable for the achievement of the yearly financial targets (net sales, gross margins, and net income) as well as ensuring the 5-year sales budget is achieved through managing a robust product management strategy. As a member of the Management team, the incumbent is expected to provide strategic insights, consistently drive execution of tactics, and have a creative flair in generating new business ideas. He/She has full autonomy to grow the long-term business plus coach a Marketing/Business Development team.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Leadership team, provide strategic directions for Kemin Food Technologies Asia to achieve its long-term vision.

  • As a business strategist, the incumbent will drive the company strategic plan process.

  • Ensure the business unit achieves its annual commercial KPIs and business goals.

  • Responsible for the growth of gross margin by growing the market share of high margin and new products. At the same time, to develop and implement strategies to defend margin erosions of our existing products through price increase, product management and others.

  • Be the lead in driving product management in terms of product life cycle, new products idea generation, product launch, product deactivation, renovation/localization to suit specific customer pain points and/or industry need gaps.

  • The incumbent will be the source of information on market intelligent data such as market potentials, market share, competition’s information, competitors’ sales/marketing activities and various details on the competitive landscape of the industry and the markets that we operate in.

  • Generate and use business analytics to monitor trends and make strategic decisions.

  • Deploy digital marketing as a branding and sales tool to differentiate Kemin from other competitors to generate direct/indirect sales.

  • Highly proactive in planning for customer/distributor events i.e. seminars, roadshows, innovation workshops using existing resources available within Kemin Industries

  • Develop the Marketing team by providing coaching & training to upskill core competencies, ensuring succession planning.

  • Drive continuous innovations, productivity, and quality improvements of the entire marketing process.

  • As a member of the Management team, promote cohesion and collaboration amongst internal departments.

  • Participate in WW Marketing & Global Product Platform(s) initiatives in branding, lead generation and business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science or related discipline from a recognized university. A postgraduate in business or science or related discipline is a plus.

  • Has a minimum of 10 years of marketing/product management in B2B food ingredients market with a proven track record of accomplishment in commercial business by successfully launching new products that achieve budget sales.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a fast paced and multi-cultural team environment.

  • An excellent problem solver that approaches problems as opportunities to continuously improve

  • A high degree of personal motivation with a desire to make an immediate contribution and always hungry for new business.

  • Excellent communicator that can adapt personal communication style to fit target audiences.

  • Advanced English & Mandarin spoken, and written language skills is essential.

    Decision Making & Freedom to Act: This position reports to the President of Kemin Food Technologies Asia. It is a “hands-on” marketing and product management position with significant autonomy, breadth, and flexibility to exceed expectations.

    Working Conditions: The position will operate from Singapore and is expected to spend 20% travelling regionally within Asia / internationally to USA. The position is considered a 40 hours per week and typically requires tremendous flexibility.
